Prime Minister Narendra Modi endorsed the implementation of women’s reservation for the upcoming 2029 Lok Sabha and assembly elections during the national ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan’ in New Delhi on April 14. He emphasized that increasing women’s participation in legislative bodies would fortify Indian democracy and enhance representation. “Since women have shown excellence in numerous fields, boosting their involvement in governance is both timely and necessary. There exists a broad consensus on this issue, spanning across the present and several decades,” he remarked. PM Modi expressed his belief that the upcoming 2029 elections would enable a stronger and more vibrant democracy with women’s reservation effectively in place.

Rahul Gandhi Launches Campaign in West Bengal

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is set to commence his campaign for the Congress party in the West Bengal Assembly elections starting Tuesday.
