New Delhi – BJP Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari is set to engage in multiple election campaign events in West Bengal today in the lead-up to the 2026 Assembly elections. Tiwari’s itinerary includes five distinct campaign activities across different regions of the state.

The MP will commence his day with a roadshow from Pincol More, proceeding towards Babughat. This will be followed by another roadshow and meeting spanning from GulMohar to Nandibgan. Additionally, he will hold a public meeting in Naihati and a rally combined with a roadshow in Belgachia. The day’s events will conclude with a campaign meeting in Howrah Uttar, specifically at GulMohar.

Upcoming Assembly Elections

This visit occurs amid heightened electioneering as the West Bengal Assembly, comprised of 294 members, prepares for voting in two phases on April 23 and April 29. The counting of votes is scheduled for May 4, signaling a critical period for all participating political entities.

On X, Tiwari confirmed his participation in the five campaigns, stating, “Today, I will participate in 5 campaign programs in West Bengal, including a public meeting and a road show.” He further mentioned his upcoming schedule, indicating that he would be present at an inauguration ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi the following morning.

Prime Minister’s Upcoming Visit to Uttarakhand

Prime Minister Modi is anticipated to be in Uttarakhand on Tuesday, marking his 27th trip to the state. During this visit, he is expected to inaugurate the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the country’s first variable speed pumped storage plant, boasting a capacity of 1,000 MW, located in Tehri.

In preparation for the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a detailed inspection on the ground on Sunday. The inspection route followed from Jaswant Ground in Garhi Cantt to the Maa Daat Kali Temple via road, ensuring all arrangements are in place for a successful program on April 14.
