A tragic bus accident in Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib district resulted in the deaths of six individuals and left 21 others injured, according to police reports.
The incident transpired around 10:00 PM on Tuesday near Himmatpura village, situated along the Morinda-Chunni road in the Bassi Pathana area.
The bus was returning from Anandpur Sahib in Rupnagar district, where the passengers, who were all residents of Main Majri village in Fatehgarh Sahib, had gone to pay their respects during the Baisakhi festival.
Cause of the Accident
Police indicated that the bus overturned due to a malfunction. This information was shared by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Fatehgarh Sahib during a briefing following the accident.
Initial reports confirm that a total of six people, including one woman, lost their lives in this unfortunate event.
