Maharashtra Man Arrested for Exploiting 180 Minors and Filming Obscene Videos

Allegations of Sexual Exploitation

A man in Maharashtra has been apprehended for allegedly sexually exploiting approximately 180 minor girls and recording over 350 explicit videos. Mohammad Ayaz, also known as Tanveer, was detained in Amravati after an investigation was launched following a complaint by a local BJP Member of Parliament.

According to authorities, Ayaz reportedly lured the minors into what has been termed a “love trap.” He is accused of taking the girls to major cities such as Mumbai and Pune, where he filmed them in compromising situations. The videos are claimed to have been used for blackmail purposes, compelling some victims into prostitution. It is also alleged that many of these videos were circulated widely online, adding to the gravity of the situation.

Investigation and Community Response

Details of the case emerged when Rajya Sabha MP Anil Bonde submitted a memorandum to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Vishal Anand. The memorandum outlined that the minors were systematically contacted through social media platforms like WhatsApp and Snapchat.

Bonde has expressed discontent regarding the police’s initial response, stating that a protest would be organized outside the Superintendent’s office if a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was not formed promptly to handle the case. In addition, representatives from the local Muslim community visited the police station, urging strict actions against Ayaz to prevent damage to their community’s reputation.

Previous Affiliations and Current Charges

Mohammad Ayaz was previously known to be involved as an office-bearer of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM). He has posted videos and photographs showcasing his involvement in the party, including receiving accolades from local AIMIM president Haji Irfan Khan and creating social media content at party events. Following the surfacing of these serious allegations, many such videos were reportedly deleted from his Instagram account.

In a rapid response to the allegations, police authorities apprehended Ayaz and presented him before a local court, where he was remanded to police custody for a week. Additionally, the police have confiscated Ayaz’s mobile phone, which is believed to contain a number of illicit videos that could further implicate him.

Ongoing Investigations

The authorities are currently working to determine whether Ayaz distributed the videos to his acquaintances or a larger criminal organization. Collaborating with the Cyber Cell, measures are underway to investigate the online dissemination of the recorded material. The situation is being treated with urgency as further evidence is collected and analyzed.
