The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the availability of exam city intimation slips for candidates enrolled in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate studies in 2026. The exam is scheduled to take place on May 3, 2026, in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM, using a pen and paper format.

In total, 552 cities across India will host the NEET UG on the first Sunday of May. Candidates can access and download their city intimation slips by using their application number and date of birth via the official NEET website at neet.nta.nic.in.

Clarification on Intimation Slip

It is essential for candidates to understand that the document provided is not the official admit card for NEET UG 2026. Instead, it serves as an early notification of the examination center’s location, aimed at assisting students in their travel preparations. The official admit card will be issued at a later date.

NEET UG remains the primary examination in India for aspiring students seeking admission to undergraduate medical courses. Over the past two years, the number of registered candidates has been consistently high, with more than 20 lakh students applying for the exam. For instance, 22.7 lakh candidates registered for NEET UG in the previous year, while 24,06,079 candidates were registered in 2024.

In earlier years, the participation numbers were as follows: 20,87,462 candidates registered in 2023; 18,72,343 in 2022; 16,14,777 in 2021; 15,97,435 in 2020; and 15,19,375 in 2019. This trend underscores the exam’s significance in the medical academic landscape of India.
