Examination Schedule Announced
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the timetable for the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) Mains 2026. Candidates can access the detailed exam schedule on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
According to the announced schedule, the Engineering Mains exam is set to take place on June 21, 2026. The examination will occur in two shifts: the first shift is from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second shift is scheduled from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Exam Format and Structure
The Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination will feature two conventional-type papers within the Engineering Discipline. Each paper will have a duration of three hours. The total marks allocated for the examination will be 600, with each paper carrying 300 marks.
Candidates who meet the minimum qualifying scores in both Stage-I, which corresponds to the Engineering Services Preliminary Examination, and Stage-II, the Engineering Services Main Examination, as determined by the Commission, will progress to Stage-III, known as the Personality Test.
