CBSE Class 10 Results 2026 Expected Soon; DigiLocker Advises Students to Prepare

DigiLocker Advises Students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is anticipated to announce the results for the Class 10 Board Examination 2026 (Session 1) in the near future. DigiLocker, a platform managed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has urged students to prepare in advance. In a recent update on X, the platform recommended that students set up their accounts proactively instead of waiting for the day results are released, hinting at an imminent announcement.

DigiLocker highlighted the importance of having accounts ready for students, particularly those who do not possess an APAAR ID. Instructions were provided to assist these students in creating accounts via the CBSE services portal. Those with APAAR IDs linked to CBSE can expect to access their digital mark sheets in the “Issued Documents” section of DigiLocker once the results are available, facilitating immediate access without any delays.

No Official Confirmation on Result Date

As of now, the CBSE has not released an official date or time for the announcement of the results. However, there is growing speculation that results may be published earlier than usual, considering the second phase of board examinations (Session 2) is set to commence in May 2026.

Approximately 25 lakh students are currently awaiting their Class 10 results. In the previous year, CBSE declared both Class 10 and Class 12 results on May 13.

New Two-Phase Examination System

The 2026 academic session marks the introduction of a two-examination system for Class 10 by CBSE. This new structure allows students to enhance their scores in up to three subjects by participating in the Session 2 exams. The Class 10 board examinations were completed on March 11, while the Class 12 examinations concluded on April 10, both beginning on February 17.

Where to Access CBSE Class 10 Results 2026

Once announced, students will be able to check their results on several official platforms, including: cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in, and umang.gov.in. To access their results, students will need to provide their roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and a security pin.

In addition to the official websites, results will also be accessible through various alternatives, including the DigiLocker platform, the UMANG app, SMS, and IVRS services. Students can expect to receive their digital mark sheets and certificates via DigiLocker shortly after the results are declared.

Compartment Exams for Students

Students who do not succeed in one or two subjects will have the opportunity to sit for compartment examinations. Detailed schedules for these exams will be released by CBSE following the announcement of the results.
