The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the schedule for significant events concerning the JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2, providing candidates with clarity regarding the upcoming results. A total of 11.23 lakh candidates registered for the examination, which was held at 566 centers located in 318 cities, both in India and internationally. The examination was conducted over six days in ten sessions, ensuring effective management of the large-scale operations.

The attendance rate for the exam was notably high, with 93% of candidates participating. Additionally, the NTA reported a 97% Aadhaar-based authentication rate, underscoring the solid participation as well as the reliability of the verification processes implemented during the examination.

Timeline of Results and Key Dates

The timeline for important events begins on April 9, 2026, with the release of all question papers. This initiative aims to promote transparency and enable candidates to assess their performance based on the provided materials.

The provisional answer key is set to be released on April 11, 2026, although this date is subject to change. Along with the answer key, candidates will be able to access their individual response sheets and can challenge any discrepancies by paying a fee of Rs 200 for each question disputed.

The final stage of the process, which includes the declaration of results for Paper 1, is currently tentatively scheduled for April 20, 2026. The NTA has confirmed that the highest score from the two sessions will be factored into the final rankings, utilizing a normalized scoring system to ensure fairness in evaluation.
