A total of 11.23 lakh candidates registered for the examination, which was held at 566 centers located in 318 cities, both in India and internationally. The provisional answer key is set to be released on April 11, 2026, although this date is subject to change. Along with the answer key, candidates will be able to access their individual response sheets and can challenge any discrepancies by paying a fee of Rs 200 for each question disputed.
The final stage of the process, which includes the declaration of results for Paper 1, is currently tentatively scheduled for April 20, 2026. The NTA has confirmed that the highest score from the two sessions will be factored into the final rankings, utilizing a normalized scoring system to ensure fairness in evaluation.
