Delhi Assembly Receives Bomb Threat Following Recent Security Breach

In a significant security concern, the Delhi Legislative Assembly received a bomb threat via email on Monday, just days after a major breach was reported at the premises. The threat prompted immediate action from various law enforcement agencies, according to police sources.
The Assembly authorities quickly flagged the alert, leading to the deployment of teams from the Delhi Police, bomb disposal units, dog squads, and fire services to the Assembly complex. A thorough search operation was conducted to ensure the safety of the premises.
A senior police officer indicated that no suspicious items were discovered during the investigation, stating, “Nothing suspicious has been found so far. The situation is under control.” Efforts are currently underway to track down the individual or group responsible for sending the threat email.

This incident follows a significant security breach at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on April 6, when an SUV forcefully entered through Gate No. 2. Police confirmed that the vehicle broke through security barriers and reached the porch area, where a bouquet and garland were placed inside the official car of the Speaker before the suspects attempted to leave the scene.
Law enforcement officials detained three suspects after the vehicle was intercepted near Roop Nagar, following an alert about the breach. The motives behind this incident remain unclear, and investigations are currently ongoing. Authorities are analyzing CCTV footage to gather more information about the incident.
